Luminaire Service, a commercial lighting contractor, is hiring an Accounting Assistant in Indianapolis.

OPPORTUNITY:

As our Accounting Assistant, you will perform daily accounting tasks as you work closely with our bookkeeper. Accounts payable, inventory, purchase orders, work orders and other general accounting and administrative tasks will round out your day. If you take pride in your detailed work and enjoy a varied, yet predicable daily routine, then this might be the opportunity for you. Reporting to the Owner, you will be working closely with our bookkeeper and other members of our administration, operations, and estimating teams.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITES:

• Perform Accounts Payable functions – match P.O.s, code invoices and enter data into a bill pay system.
• Inventory Maintenance
• Purchase Order management
• Spreadsheet tasks
• Work Order entry
• Insurance communication and records
• 401K records and form maintenance

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting support role.
• Organized and efficient with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel along with good data entry skills.
• Some experience with accounting software would be helpful.
• Focused -- prioritize, track, and see tasks through to completion.
• Proactive communicator and team player capable of working effectively amongst operations, accounting, and estimating teams seamlessly.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Luminaire Service will reward your administrative talents with an hourly wage between $23 - $26 per hour depending on experience.
