Fairchild Communication Systems, Inc., a technology systems integrator, is hiring a Director of Project Operations in Indianapolis, IN.

 

OPPORTUNITY:
As our Director of Project Operations, you will lead the team of Project Managers ensuring successful project deliveries. Set the strategic direction for project management, standardizing processes, and optimizing resources. Work closely with Project Managers, engineering, purchasing, warehouse, and clients to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and of high quality. Reporting to the Branch Director, you will mentor and develop project managers while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead, mentor, and support the team of Project Managers, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance environment within the team and with other departments.
  • Develop and implement a strategic project management framework setting standards and best practices.
  • Ensure consistent project success by conducting work in progress meetings, tracking project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Learn and operate effectively within our enterprise resource and planning software platform (Q360 by Solutions360).
  • Establish and oversee risk management policies to address potential project risk proactively.
  • Oversee and track the project budget planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.

 

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or related field or at least 8+ years of project management experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role overseeing multiple projects and managers.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on mentoring and coaching.
  • Exceptional experience with enterprise level business, project management software and change management processes.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects within the low-voltage industry is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication, budget management, and strategic planning skills.

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Fairchild will reward your talents with an attractive compensation package with on-target earnings (OTE) of $135k-$150+ (includes base salary and incentive plan.) You will also receive a competitive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, and a 401k retirement plan with company match.
