Obsidian Planning Solutions, a financial planning firm, is hiring a Part Time or Full-time Paraplanner in Rockville, MD area. This is a fully remote opportunity.

OPPORTUNITY:

As our customer support specialist, you will provide support to the Financial Planning team in putting together comprehensive financial plans and reviews.  Contact clients and their advisors for information needed for the reviews.  Use your detailed-oriented skills to crunch numbers with updated information.  Follow up on recommendations to clients to make sure they are completed.  Produce high quality, detailed work by following set procedures and guidelines.  Your high level of confidentiality and professionalism along with personal accountability will make you an invaluable member of our team. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Complete comprehensive personal and business financial plans and recommendations with an emphasis on detail and precision.
• Complete regular client reviews including recommendations for change.
• Follow up with clients to make sure recommendations from plans and reviews are completed.
• Input client data into planning software.
• Attend client reviews and planning meetings to help with presentations. (Most are conducted on Zoom. 3-4 meetings/month may be held in the evening.)
• Complete software training for Naviplan, Albridge, Morningstar, and Junxure.
• Attend weekly meetings with customer support team and discuss client projects.
• Fulfill client servicing requests such as Wire or ACH funds, check requests, or any other document requests.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• Minimum 5 years of professional business experience, preferably in financial planning, financial services, accounting, insurance, banking, or tax.
• Licensed in FINRA Series 7 and or Series 65 is a plus.
• Experience with financial planning software is a plus.
• Experience with CRM software, Morningstar, account opening, and clearing firms is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with the highest degree of accuracy.
• Communicates effectively with external and internal professionals.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Obsidian Planning Solutions will reward your talents with an hourly rate of $35 - $40 per hour, plus bonus incentives, depending on your level of experience. You will also receive a benefit package, starting at 30 hours, that includes health, paid holidays, 401(k) retirement plan and vacation time. This can be a full-time or part-time role.
