WorkSmart Systems, a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is hiring Payroll Specialists in Indianapolis, Indiana.

OPPORTUNITY:
Due to successful growth, we are expanding our payroll team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will work full-time in our office assisting clients and worksite employees with their payroll needs. This is more than just a payroll processing role. As we are a PEO and co-employer with our clients, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and manage more payroll functions than you would in a typical payroll department. Enjoy building relationships with your assigned clients as we believe in consistency and individualized touch with our clients.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Providing payroll support for single and multi-state payrolls with various pay frequencies
• Input new hires into the CRM system accurately.
• Completion of I-9 & E-Verify
• Process terminations timely.
• Process garnishments and other deductions.
• Pay adjustments.
• Resolve timekeeping issues.
• Available to work overtime during our busy season (Dec & Jan)

SUCCESS FACTORS:

• FPC or CPP certification preferred.
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience preferred; we are willing to train.
• Prefer knowledge of processing payroll in an HRM system; ideal candidate will also have experience with time & labor system.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word & Excel).
• Working experience with payroll taxes at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Experience with PrismHR and Nettime is helpful.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Collaborative approach and experience collaborating well with teams.
• Excellent customer/client service skills.
• Successfully pass background checks, credit, and drug testing
• In-office hours: 8:00 – 5:00 M-F

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
