ARCO Murray Construction Company, a nationally ranked commercial design/build company, is hiring Sales reps in Orlando and Fort Myers, Florida. Relocation assistance available!
OPPORTUNITY:
As our Business Development Sales Rep, you will prospect and close new design/build deals with companies expanding their facility footprint. You’ll engage decision-makers within our target markets (Florida and other states) to identify a consistent pipeline of new projects. Our ideal client is a multi-location business that becomes a repeat customer, relying on our expertise to build offices, medical buildings, and multi-family housing. You’ll be backed by a talented team of professionals across architecture, engineering, project coordination, and client services.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of our Florida business unit, your strong work ethic, ambition, and initiative will be instrumental in achieving sales success and unlocking financial rewards. There are no geographic limits on your outreach efforts, giving you the freedom to tap into nationwide opportunities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Prospect and close new large design/build construction projects.
• Actively cold call and connect with prospective customers directly (not through developers and other contractors) to uncover opportunities early in the development concept stage.
• Qualify prospects and prioritize high-potential opportunities.
• Present and promote the benefits of our integrated service model to decision makers.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and prospects to stay top of mind for future projects.
• Track all outreach and relationship-building activity using our CRM system (Pipedrive).
• Collaborate on strategic sales planning and execution.
• Coordinate proposal efforts with marketing, estimating, operations and leadership teams.
• Attend trade shows and industry events to stay informed on trends, competitors and to deepen relationships with current and future customers.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
• 3+ years of successful sales (long sales cycles) and cold calling experience, ideally in a design/build, commercial construction, developer, or manufacturing construction environment.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, construction, or a related field.
• Experience with outbound prospecting and a track record of initiating contact with key decision-makers.
• Strong understanding of solution-based sales and ability to position value-added services.
• General knowledge of complex project delivery, client coordination, or service integration.
• Consultative approach with excellent communication skills.
• Self-disciplined with the ability to manage and track daily outreach and follow-up.
• Driven goal-oriented and competitive mindset with a focus on results.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
ARCO Murray Construction offers a competitive compensation package including an attractive base salary and uncapped commission incentive plan. Your income will continue to grow as you further develop your client relationships.
